PERAN MEDIASI ENVIRONTMENTAL SCANNING PADA ORIENTASI KEWIRAUSAHAAN DAN KINERJA UKM: IMPLEMENTASI UKM DI JAWA BARAT DAN JAWA TENGAH

Abstrak


Currently, SMEs face many growing competitors and it can disrupt the stability of the growth of these SMEs. This study uses environmental scanning in bridging the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of SMEs. The main object of this study is to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of SMEs by using environmental scanning as a mediating effect. This research focuses on testing the Entrepreneurial Orientation, Environmental Scanning and SMEs Performance. Respondents in this study were SMEs in West Java and Central Java with a total of 124 SMEs as respondents. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the hypothesis. The results show that Environmental Scanning can mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of SMEs. 

UKM sering dihadapkan pada persaingan dengan kompetitor yang tumbuh dengan pesat dan dapat menggangu stabitilitas pertumbuhan UKM. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan environmental scanning dalam menjembatani hubungan antara orientasi kewirausahaan pada kinerja UKM. Objek utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji hubungan antara orientasi kewirausahaan pada kinerja UKM dengan menggunakan variabel environmental scanning sebagai efek mediasi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengujian Orientasi Kewirausahaan, Environmental Scanning dan Kinerja UKM. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah para pelaku UKM di wilayah Jawa Barat dan Jawa Tengah dengan total responden 124 UKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengujian Structure Equation modeling (SEM) untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Environmental Scanning dapat memediasi hubungan antara orientasi kewirausahaan pada kinerja UKM.  Ketika para pemilik/manajer UKM memiliki kemampuan environmental scanning yang baik maka akan dapat memperkuat dan meningkatkan hubungan orientasi kewirausahaan pada kinerja UKM
