ABSTRACT
Measure section and point counting methods within turbidite-facies that good exposure in the Sumedang-Majalengka, West Java is the focus of this research. Outcrops data and petrographic analysis in the laboratory are the main data. There are six litofacies i.e. A, B, C, D, and E. Furthermore, the lithofacies was grouped into five association-facies, there are, EDC, DC, FC, CD, and BAC. Sediment source was characterized in two provenances, from magmatic-arc coming from NW and recycled orogen -thrust fault belt that dominated from NW to ESE and slightly from the south.
Keywords: Sumedang-Majalengka, Turbidite, magmatic-arc, recycled orogen, thrust-fault belt.
