PELATIHAN PEMANFAATAN THIBBUN NABAWI UNTUK MEMBANTU TERAPI DIABETES MELITUS DI KELURAHAN TAMANSARI BANDUNG
Abstrak
Diabetes melitus adalah slah satu penyakit gangguan metabolik dengan prevalensi yang terus meningkat baik di dunia ataupun di Indonesia, termasuk di kota Bandung. Penggunaan bahan herbal sudah banyak diteliti mampu membantu terapi diabetes melitus, termasuk diantaranya bahan herbal yang masuk ke dalam kategori thibbun Nabawi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman/keterampilan masyarakat terkait pemanfaatan thibbun Nabawi untuk membantu terapi diabetes melitus. Kegiatan dilakukan terhadap kader PKK di Keluarahan Tamansari. Kegiatan dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yakni pemberian materi tentang pemanfaatan thibbun Nabawi untuk terapi diabetes melitus, pelatihan pembuatan ramuan herbal berbasis thibbun Nabawi, dan penyebaran e-booklet untuk masyarakat luas terkait materi pengabdian melalui perantara kader PKK. Evaluasi keberhasilan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pemberian pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilakukan diketahui terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mitra sebesar 253,42% tentang pemanfaatan thibbun nabawi untuk membantu terapi diabetes melitus dan 92,59% untuk pelatihan pembuatan ramuan herbal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM yang dilakukan berhasil peningkatkan pemahaman dan atau keterampilan masyarakat terkait pemanfaatan thibbun Nabawi untuk membantu terapi diabetes melitus.
