MOLECULARLY IMPRINTED POLYMER (MIP) UNTUK ISOLASI ATENOLOL DALAM SAMPEL BIOLOGIS
Abstrak
Atenolol merupakan obat golongan β-blocker yang sering digunakan oleh atlet cabang olah raga tertentu untuk menurunkan detak jantung dan tremor pada tangan. Untuk menganalisis atenolol diperlukan metode preparasi sampel yang spesifik dan sensitif karena jumlah atenolol yang kecil dalam sampel biologis, salah satunya yang sedang dikembangkan adalah Molecularly Imprinted Polymer (MIP). MIP merupakan suatu teknik pembuatan polimer menggunakan template (atenolol) sehingga dihasilkan situs ikatan yang spesifik terhadap atenolol. MIP digunakan dalam preparasi sampel untuk mengekstraksi atau mengisolasi analit dalam sampel. Metode pembuatan MIP ini ada dua, yaitu polimerisasi ruah dan pengendapan. Beberapa pengujian dan evaluasi yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa MIP dengan metode polimerisasi pengendapan memiliki spesifisitas, sensitivitas, dan persen perolehan kembali yang paling baik dibandingkan dengan jenis lainnya.
