REVIEW ARTIKEL : ISOLASI, AKTIVITAS FARMAKOLOGI, DAN UJI TOKSISITAS METABOLIT SEKUNDER GOLONGAN BIFLAVONOID DARI GENUS GARCINIA
Abstrak
Salah satu metabolit sekunder terpenting yang dihasilkan oleh genus Garcinia adalah biflavonoid dan turunannya yang memiliki aktivitas farmakologi yang beragam. Salah satu senyawa turunan biflavonoid adalah hegoflavon. Hasil isolasi metabolit sekunder pelu diuji sitotoksiknya dengan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Metabolit sekunder golongan biflavonoid memiliki aktivitas farmakologi seperti antimikroba, antioksidan, antitumor, antikanker, dll. Pada uji toksisitas ekstrak fraksi etil asetat yang mengandung hegoflavon dengan metode BSLT didapatkan nilai LC50 sebesar 37,325 μg/ml.
