Pengaruh Model Desain Optik Lensa Intraokular Hidrofobik Terhadap Posterior Capsule Opacification (PCO) Pascaoperasi Katarak
Abstrak
Operasi katarak adalah yang terbanyak prosedur bedah yang umum dilakukan di dunia dengan mengganti lensa alami dengan lensa buatan untuk mencapai ketajaman penglihatan mendekati normal. Lensa yang digunakan yaitu lensa intraocular. Pascaoperasi katarak masih terjadi komplikasi berupa peningkatan Posterior Capsule Opacification (PCO). Peningkatan PCO menyebabkan penurunan ketajaman visual dan sensitivitas kontras, serta silau dan diplopia monokuler yang dapat mengurangi kualitas hidup pasien sehingga perlu pencegahan dengan menggunakan lensa intraokular yang berbahan hidrofobik yang dapat menurunkan skor angka PCO. Lensa intraokular hidrofobik memiliki banyak model desain optik yang berbagai macam, pengaruh desain optik juga menjadi pertimbangan dalam memilih lensa intraocular yang baik untuk pasien. Model desain optik yang baik digunakan adalah sharp optic edge yang dapat mengurangi migrasi sel epitel yang berproliferasi dari pinggiran kapsul berhenti ketika mencapai tepi optik IOL yang tajam.
