KARAKTERISTIK BUDAYA ORGANISASI PADA PT. TAMBANG BATUBARA BUKIT ASAM (PERSERO) TBK MUARA ENIM SUMATERA SELATAN
Abstrak
The focus in this research is on the characteristics of organizational culture that is characteristic of organizational culture embodied in the PTBA after these BUMN to reform its organization culture.
This study aims to describe the characteristics of organizational culture; traced through seven basic characteristics of the organizational culture: Innovation and risk taking, attention to detail, outcome orientation, people orientation, team orientation, stability and aggressiveness based on the basic values of the organizational culture of work attitudes and culture that exist in PT. Bukit Asam Coal Mine (Persero) Tbk.
Research using qualitative methods, the techniques of collecting data through observation, analysis of documentation and in-depth interviews. Validity of data is done by triangulation techniques through check, re-check and confirm the observations, analysis documentation and in-depth interviews.
Based on analysis it was depicted that there are 5 strength characteristic primer of PTBA organization culture ie: (1) attention to detail, (2) outcome orientation, (3) team orientation, (4) aggressiveness and (5)stability. While two others characteristic primer (1) innovation and risk-tacking and (2) orientation to the people still weak. Thus PTBA corporate culture could not be chategorized as strength culture, due to only 5 from 7 characteristic was categorized strength characteristic. External environment factor caused these two other characteristic primer not integrated yet. According to Robbins (2001), strength organization culturecovered strength of the seventh characteristic primer, as comprehensive the strength of the culture has seen togather and integrated.
Based on the conclusions of this research it is proposed a new concept: an innovative attitude and orientation of the people is a fundamental characteristic of the culture of the organization.
