PERAN EMOSI TERHADAP SELF-REGULATION MAHASISWA DALAM PENGERJAAN SKRIPSI

Many emotions can be experienced by student as their reaction to many situations in skripsi writing. Those emotional experiences can influence students' psychological functioning and will affect to their performance. One of important psychological fungtioning in skripsi writing is self-regulation. This research examine the role of emotions experienced by students' on their self-regulation in skripsi writing. 204 psychology department students' from three universities participate in this research. Questionaires used to collect data and analyze with multiple regression analysis. In this reseach, all positive emotions (enjoyment, hope, pride, and relief) positively influence self-regulation. Four of five negative emotions (anger, anxiety, boredom, and hopelessness) negatively influence self-regulation. Shame has no significant effect on  self-regulation. According to the results, we can conclude that students' emotions affect their self-regulation in skripsi writing, depend on their valence. Positive emotions increase self-regulation and negative emotions decrease self-regulation.
