Diosmetin sebagai Agen Antikanker: Review Mekanisme Kerja, Potensi, dan Strategi Formulasi

Abstrak


Diosmetin merupakan senyawa bahan alam flavonoid golongan flavon yang terbukti memiliki aktivitas dalam mengatasi berbagai penyakit, terutama sebagai antikanker dengan mekanisme induksi apoptosis, penghambatan proliferasi, dan modulasi berbagai jalur sinyal molekuler seperti P13K/Akt/mTOR dan TGF-β. Akan tetapi, senyawa ini memiliki keterbatasan berupa kelarutannya yang rendah dan permeabilitas membran yang buruk. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi, beberapa penelitian dilakukan untuk menanggapi masalah tersebut, salah satunya dengan menerapkan berbagai bentuk formulasi sediaan. Beberapa formulasi sudah diterapkan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan diosmetin, seperti nanopartikel lipid padat dan liposom sirkulasi panjang. Meski begitu, penelitian mengenai diosmetin semakin berkembang untuk menemukan cara untuk memaksimalkan potensi terapi dari senyawa diosmetin terutama sebagai antikanker.
