TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN ORANG TUA TENTANG KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT YANG DIPENGARUHI RADIASI PENGION RADON PADA KECAMATAN DESA GUNUNG MASIGIT KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT

Abstrak


Berdasarkan program EHRA (Environmental Health Risk Assessment) pada tahun 2013, program pengabdian pada masyarakat  dengan judul “Tingkat Pengetahuan Orang Tua Tentang Kesehatan Gigi Dan Mulut Yang Dipengaruhi Radiasi Pengion Radon Pada Kecamatan Desa Gunung Masigit Kabupaten Bandung Barat” ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran pengetahuan radiasi yang mempengaruhi kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang dapat berdampak pada derajat kesehatan melalui metode penyuluhan. Program ini dimulai dengan diawali percakapan singkat dengan orang tua siswa di Yayasan Dasrussalam Desa Gunung Masigit mengenai kebiasaan dan perilaku orang tua mengenai kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa orang tua siswa Yayasan Darussalam Gunung Masigit kurang mengetahui bahaya paparan radiasi pada kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Penanganan hal tersebut dengan melakukan intervensi pada masyarakat salah satunya dengan penyuluhan dan dilakukan pretest dan posttest untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan yang signifikan pada masyarakat desa gunung masigit setelah dilakukan penyuluhan mengenai paparan radiasi pengion radon dan penangannya dalam meningkatkan kesehatan gigi an mulut.
