PELAYANAN KESEJAHTERAAN BERBASIS FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATION: PELUANG DAN TANTANGAN BAGI PRAKTIK PEKERJAAN SOSIAL

Abstrak


Penelitian dengan mengusung topik pelayanan kesejahteraan berbasis faith-based organization sebagai peluang dan tantangan bagi praktik pekerjaan sosial telah memiliki jejak historis yang cukup panjang sekaligus menunjukkan dinamika kontributif serta determinan tersendiri dalam memberikan alternatif layanan kesejahteraan sosial bagi para penerima manfaat, yang faktanya tidak seluruhnya dapat dijangkau dan dipenuhi oleh organisasi-organisasi resmi pemberi pelayanan kesejahteraan sosial yang dikelola oleh pemerintah. Kajian ini melihat karakteristik layanan kesejahteraan sosial berbasis faith-based organization, pemangku kepentingan dalam faith-based organization, dan pekerjaan sosial dalam bidang faith-based organization dalam menjawab peluang dan tantangan global yang bersifat inklusif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dengan merujuk kepada berbagai sumber referensi seperti buku ataupun e-book, artikel, dan berbagai dokumen yang relevan dengan topik penelitian untuk melihat diskursus faith-based organization pada layanan kesejahteraan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik faith-based organization ditunjukkan dalam bentuk branding organisasi, struktur organisasi, tujuan, dan penyedia layanan melalui skema pasif-aktif dan persuasif-eksklusif; faith-based organization menjadi model dalam menjalankan layanan kesejahteraan sosial yang inklusif dalam upaya menghindari dikotomi layanan kesejahteraan sosial antara organisasi sekuler vis a vis organisasi keagamaan; dalam pengelolaan dan menjalankan aktivitas organisasinya para pemangku kepentingan faith-based organization dapat sejalan dengan nilai-nilai dan kode etik perofesi pekerjaan sosial profesional.
