Definisi Sexual Harassment Berdasarkan Jenis Kelamin di Kalangan Mahasiswa
Abstract
The definition of sexual harassment is broad. Sexual harassment can take many forms, but it is generally classified as verbal or nonverbal (physical). The extent to which an act is perceived as sexual harassment is determined by the individual. A sequential explanatory mix methods approach is used in this study. Data collection is conducted in two stages: collecting quantitative data in the first stage, analyzing the results, and then using the results to plan (or create) the qualitative data in the second stage. The respondents and informants in this study were Sociology Education students of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. The findings demonstrated that the students' definitions of sexual harassment are influenced by the level of comfort in their relationship. The desire to commit acts of sexual harassment based on deviant passions is the most important factor causing sexual harassment. The most common form of harassment experienced by respondents and informants is whistling and sharing pornographic things by others, to which more victims respond silently.
