Author Responsibilities

  • Authors write manuscripts/articles based on accurate original research reports.
  • Authors cite all references used in the manuscript according to scientific writing standards.
  • Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism.
  • Authors must ensure that the manuscript submitted to IJMT has never been published in other media and is not currently being submitted to other journals.
  • Authors must agree on the role of each contributor in writing the article and have agreed in advance on the designation of principal and co-authors.
  • Authors ensure that research activities are conducted in accordance with ethical codes.
  • When authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published manuscript, they have an obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.

Editor Responsibilities

  • Editors of IJMT are responsible for deciding which articles should be published based on input from peer review results. Editors may consult with reviewers in making these decisions.
  • Editors evaluate manuscripts/articles without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
  • Editors will ensure that articles align with the journal's scientific focus/scope. Responses from reviewers will serve as the basis for editors to determine whether an article can be accepted, accepted with revision (major/minor revision), or rejected.
  • An article may be rejected for publication due to various considerations, including the article not being within the scope of mechatronics and technology, insufficient scientific merit to be classified as scholarly work, fundamental methodological errors, or authors refusing to make reasonable revisions suggested by reviewers without logical basis.
  • The order of publication is adjusted according to the order of article submission and revision to the editorial board.
  • Editors shall not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the authors and reviewers.
  • Unpublished materials disclosed in a manuscript must not be used in the editor's own research without the written consent of the author.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communication, subsequently conveyed to authors. The assistance provided by reviewers involves content review of a manuscript/article.
  • Every manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts shall not be displayed or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
  • Reviews must be conducted objectively with supporting arguments according to scientific principles.
