Author Guidelines
- The article is the author original work of (not violate plagiarism) and was never publicized in other media. Article’s theme should be related to communication Science.
- The article has not been published in any language translation.
- The Article uses English, consisting of 6500-7000 words, Times New Roman 12, spacing 1.5, A4, normal margins.
- The title contains maximum 12 words, without abbreviations, 14-point Times New Roman, Sentence case, Bold, center, space 1, without subtitles and punctuation.
- The authors in the article are arranged according to the agreement of the authors. The author listed a maximum of 4 persons. Names are written without academic title, or name's shortened.
- The name (s) written are followed by writing the name of the writers institution. Institutional identity is composed of only work unit name, such as, university’s name or organization's name (not to be shortened). The institution name is followed by e-mail address of each writer.
- Abstract is written in English, 1 (one) paragraph/ each. Abstract is written using Times New Roman, size 10, spacing 1. The length of the text is between 200-300 words. Abstract states brief overview of the issues, goals, methods, conclusion and implications. Keywords contain 5 words.
- Heading of the article written without using chapters numbering (or bulleted list), like the thesis and other research report. The article contains INTRODUCTION, RESEARCH METHOD(S), RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, and CONCLUSIONS. Article headings are written in Times New Roman size 12 bold capital letters. The heading is written using the left align.
- Introduction of the article contain research problem background; research objectives. Literature review contains previous research, theory and concepts. Research Methods contain methods, subject, object, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques. Results and Discussion states data/ information as the answer to research objectives; supporting instruments in the form of tables and figures; and interpretation with journal citations as a back up. Conclusion, including conclucsion and recomendation(s) are written in paragraph without numbering.
- Tables, and figures (charts, graph, scheme) given numbering, title, and source. Tables are written with a 1 point wide line, and tables caption is placed above the table. Table description table consisting of more than one line is written using single spacing.

- Any kinds of figure inserted in the text box and figures caption is placed below the image. Captions are numbered and must contain referenced. Caption is begun with a capital letter. Caption that more than one line is written using single spacing.
- Pictures could be graphics, diagrams, schematics, photos. The title, source, and picture should be grouping, so it will not rupture when the layout created.
- The title of the image should be placed below the image, left margin, 12-point Times New Roman, bold, space 1, and the source listed in the bottom left of the image. See example below:

- If the contents of the article are in details, alphabet or numbering, can be written as follows: (1)...(2)...(3)...
- Article is typed on A4 paper with 4 cm top and left margin, 3 cm bottom margin and right margin, Times New Roman, size 12 and 1.5 spacing (before = 0 pt and after = 0 pt).
- In quoting, do not use footnotes, use running note based on APA 7th edition, for example: Buckland (2014) states that the library service is divided into several types. .... "Documentation is an activity creating, collecting, processing, distribution on the user" (Basuki, 2007)
- Citations and bibliography format of Communication Studies Journal use APA 7th edition writing style, which is (a) bibliography is written using single spacing, ordered alphabetically without number; (b) if the reference is written by 1 (one) person, the author's name is written in the form of: the author's last name, followed by the first name and middle name, and followed by year of publication, article title, place of issue, and publisher name; (c) if the authors are more than three persons, then only the first author's name is written, and the other writers are written as et al.
- The bibliography only contains references that are actually referred to in the body of the article. What is mentioned in the article must be stated in the bibliography and placed on the last page. References used for a maximum of the last 10 years comprised at least 25 reference sources and came from journals with a bibliography composed of a minimum of 80% of journals, and 15 sources from international journals. The Author is advised to cite two papers from this journal.

- All reference sources have been verified for their existence and relevance in accordance with the citations used in the manuscript.

- The author agrees that if the manuscript is accepted, they are willing to have the manuscript proofread in English by a certified proofreader.
