PENGARUH PENYUNTIKAN KOKAIN PASCA IMPLANTASI TERHADAP KEMATIAN INTRAUTERUS, PERTUMBUHAN DAN PERKEMBANGAN FETUS MENCIT SWISS-WEBSTER (Mus musculus)

Abstrak

The objective of this study wanted to know about the effects of post implantation injection of cocaine to intrauterine deaths, fetal growth and development in Swiss-Webster mice (Mus musculus). The female mice on day 8^th until day 17^th of the pregnancy were injected intraperitoneally by 6.6 mg/kg bw; 13.2 mg/kg bw; 19.8 mg/kg bw; 26.4 mg/kg bw of cocaine and 0.2 ml of physiological saline (NaCl 0.9%) was given as control. The female mice were killed at day 18^th of the pregnancy, then observed the number of implantation, fetal survivor, embryonic resorption, fetal deaths, fetal weights and fetal malformations. The results showed that the intrauterine deaths in 19.8 mg/kg bw and 26.4 mg/kg bw of cocaine were significantly different to the control (p < 0.05). The percentage of fetal weights and fetal malformations were not significantly different to the control (p > 0.05). The intrauterine deaths increased depend on the given dose of cocaine.
