UJI LETAL RESESIF TERPAUT SEKS AKIBAT PEMBERIAN TIMBAL ASETAT DALAM MENGINDUKSI MUTASI LETAL PADA LALAT BUAH (Drosophila melanogaster)

Abstrak


The research was carried out to study the effect of lead acetate induced lethal mutation on  Drosophila melanogaster by using lethal sex linked recessive test. The method was used experimental completely randomized design ( RAL ) which repeated 20 times. Both of treatment and control were crossed 30 times. Lead acetate 5034 ppm was given to the normal male D. melanogaster used adult feeding method, while control was given by distilled water. The male was crossed with the virgin female mutan basc and the second generation (F2) of this culture was observed. The parameter observed were the sum of the lethal culture (culture without normal D. melanogaster), non lethal culture (culture with normal D. melanogaster), and sterile culture (culture with total population less than 20). The data was analyzed by using t-test method. The result showed that the mutation rate value of the treatment group was higher tha the control group and significantly different (a = 5%)
