REVIEW JURNAL : AKTIVITAS ANTIHIPERLIPIDEMIA PADA TANAMAN HERBAL DENGAN METODE INDUKSI HEWAN PERCOBAAAN

Abstrak

Hiperlipidemia merupakan disregulasi metabolik yang sangat berkaitan erat dengan diabetes mellitus, gangguan ini ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan profil lipid dalam tubuh antara lain LDL, VLDL, asam lemak bebas, trigliserida. Beberapa tanaman herbal memiliki aktivitas antihiperlipidemia yang telah dibuktikan dengan dilakukannya penelitian dengan menggunakan hewan percobaan yang diberikan perlakukan penginduksian hiperglikemia maupun diabetes. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terdapat 13 jenis ekstrak tanaman yang memiliki aktivitas antihiperlipidemia dengan adanya penurunan profil lipid yang signifikan pada hewan percobaan.

Kata Kunci : Hiperlipidemia, Antihiperlipidemia, profil lipid , tanaman herbal, induksi hewa uji.

Abstract

Hyperlipidemia is a metabolic dysregulation that is closely related to diabetes mellitus, this disorder is characterized by an increase in lipid profiles in the body including LDL, VLDL, free fatty acids, triglycerides. Some herbal plants have antihyperlipidemic activity which has been proven by conducting research using experimental animals which are treated to induce hyperglycemia and diabetes. The results obtained were 13 types of plant extracts which had antihyperlipidemic activity with a significant decrease in lipid profile in experimental animals.
