Manifestasi Klinis, Manajemen Terapi, Dan Peran Apoteker Dalam Penanganan Long Covid-19

Abstrak


Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus sever acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). COVID-19 memiliki beberapa gejala yang akan muncul setelah masa inkubasi virus, seperti gejala ringan berupa demam, batuk kering, rasa lelah, hingga gejala berat seperti kegagalan sistem pernapasan. Gejala-gejala yang muncul dapat membaik dalam waktu 2-6 minggu, tetapi pada beberapa kasus, gejala tersebut dapat bertahan cukup lama hingga beberapa bulan. Long COVID-19 kejadian bertahannya gejala lebih dari 3 bulan setelah pertama kali munculnya gejala COVID-19. Beberapa terapi secara non farmakologi dan farmakologi telah direkomendasikan untuk penanganan manifestasi klinis ataupun gejala yang dirasakan pasien pada kondisi long COVID-19, seperti terapi rehabilitasi, pemberian OAINS, kortikosteroid, bronkodilator, beta bloker, hingga antibiotik. Pemberian terapi tersebut bertujuan untuk mengurangi keparahan gejala, meningkatkan fungsi organ tubuh yang terdampak, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup dari pasien. Dalam penanganan long COVID-19, tenaga kesehatan berperan penting dalam proses pemberian terapi dan pemantauan efek terapi bagi pasien, sehingga gejala yang persisten dapat berkurang. Sebagai salah satu tenaga kesehatan di Indonesia, apoteker memiliki peran penting dalam penanganan long COVID-19 dengan memberikan informasi dan edukasi terkait long COVID-19 serta penanganannya, optimalisasi penggunaan obat yang rasional, hingga menjaga pengelolaan vitamin, obat, ataupun perbekalan farmasi lainnya agar tidak terjadi kekosongan stok di Indonesia.
