Review: Efektivitas Sari Kedelai sebagai Anti-aging dalam Kosmetik

Proses penuaan pada kulit dapat meliputi hilangnya elastisitas, degenerasi serat elastis, pengurangan kandungan kolagen dan ketebalan epidermis,  peningkatan kerutan dan kondisi  kulit yang semakin kering. Perawatan kulit salah satunya dengan menggunakan produk anti-aging yang dapat memperlambat proses penuaan. Salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan aktif produk anti-aging ialah kedelai yang mengandung beberapa komponen fungsional seperti asam fenolat, flavonoid, isoflavonoid (quercetin, genistein, dan daidzein), s-equol, tannin dan proantosianidin serta vitamin E yang merupakan antioksidan untuk melawan radikal bebas sehingga menghambat terjadinya oksidasi, penuaan kulit dan mengurangi kerusakan sel. Tujuan pembuatan review artikel ini ialah memberikan informasi mengenai efektivitas sari kedelai sebagai anti-aging dalam kosmetik. Metode penulisan review artikel ini ialah metode penelitian komparatif dengan mempelajari artikel mengenai sari kedelai fermentasi dan non fermentasi untuk anti-aging dalam kosmetik. Hasil review dari beberapa artikel dikatakan bahwa sari kedelai fermentasi dan non fermentasi yang mengandung isoflavon genistein dan daidzein memiliki efektifitas yang baik untuk digunakan sebagai anti-aging. Polifenol isoflavon mengandung gugus hidroksil fenolat yang berinteraksi dengan ROS dan menghambat aktivitasnya sehingga proses penuaan dapat diperlambat. Selain itu, ekstrak kedelai fermentasi dan non fermentasi dapat digunakan sebagai antioksidan, pelembab, anti keriput dan anti inflamasi.
