Indonesia's geothermal potential is strategic in supporting national energy needs and promoting the transition to new and renewable energy. In addition to being a source of electricity, geothermal energy also offers significant benefits through direct utilization. However, direct utilization of geothermal energy in Indonesia remains lagging behind electricity generation. This study analyzes the pilot project for the direct use of geothermal initiated by PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) Patuha Unit since 2024. The project was initiated as one of the efforts to develop the community around the company's operations by integrating the concept of a tourist village and innovation in the construction of facilities such as warming cabins, hot tubs, fish ponds, green houses, tea leaf dryers, and food dryers using geothermal technology.  The purpose of this article is to show the efforts to directly utilize geothermal in Patuha with a study that aims to understand the development scheme and analyze it through the framework of community development goals according to Weil & Gamble (1995). This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data collection is carried out through the study and exploration of a number of journals, books, documents, and various other sources of information that are considered relevant to the study topic. The results of this study conclude that the initiation of direct use of geothermal has the potential to be an effective strategy in creating sustainable economic, social, and environmental impacts.
