Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the guidelines below and submitted online through online submission system.

Submission should be exclusively to the Indonesian Journal of Pharmaceutics and submitted papers must not have been and will not be published elsewhere. 

Manuscript must be written in English and should be typewritten double-spaced on standard-sized-paper (8.5" x 11") with 1" margins on all sides. Times New Roman font 12 pt should be used. The fonts used in the text as well as graphics should be restricted to Arial, Symbol and Zapf Dingbats.

The target maximum length of manuscripts should be as follows:

  1. Original Research: 3000 words
  2. Reviews: 5000 words
  3. Case Reports and Brief Research Communications: 2000 words

Manuscript for original research should be written in the following order: Tittle Page, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References.

Here is an explanation of each section:

  1. Title Page: his section should contain manuscript title with maximum 12 words, authors’ names with academic tittle, laboratory and department(s) where the work was carried out, and the name and full email addresses of the corresponding author.
  2. Abstract: abstract should be written in English up to 250 words. The abstract should provide a concise summary of the study, including introduction, method, result, discussion, and conclusion. Abstract should be accompanied with 3-6 keywords.
  3. Introduction: his section should provide background information relevant to the study. The objectives and hypothesis of the study should be clearly stated.
  4. Methods: methods should be described in sufficient detail to allow others to reproduce the results. The inclusion and exclusion criteria for participant selection and statistical methods should be stated clearly.
  5. Results: results were presented in a format that easily understood in the form of 2D figures and tables. Tables should be made sequentially in the separate attachment. The tittle of tables should be stated briefly and explanatory footnote placed on table’s note not on table’s tittle. Each figures should be placed on separate pages with number according to appearance on.
  6. Discussion: discuss for original research conducted on the findings of the study in relation to other relevant studies. The discussion focused on the main study outcomes. Limitations and implications of the study described clearly. The author should list the limitations and suggestions management based on references.
  7. Conclusions: conclusions linked to the objectives of the study.
  8. Acknowledgements: the source(s) of funding for the study should be listed in this section, if appropriate. Assistance with study process, data collection, and data analysis can also be declared here.
  9. References: references written according to the rules of writing Vancouver and numbered with the appearance of the article not in alphabetical order. It is obligatory to use Mendeley in your manuscript using style reference Asian Journal of Pharmaceutics. A total of 80% used references is published the last 10 years. A total of 80% used references are the primary literature. Please note the example of writing a references as follows:

Reproduce Published Material from other Publishers

It is imperative that authors obtain permission to reproduce published material (images, schematics, tables or any extracts of text) that is not in the public domain, or for which they do not own the copyright. Authorization must be requested by the author from the copyright holder (usually the Publisher, please refer to the printout of each publication to identify the copyright holder).

Permission is required to:

Your own work published by other Publishers and for which you do not own the copyright.
Extract substantially from anyone's work or a series of works.
Use of Tables, Graphics, Charts, Schemes and Artworks if unchanged or slightly modified.
Photographs you do not own the copyright to.
Permission is not required to:

Reconstruct your own table with data already published elsewhere. Please note that in this case you must cite the data source in the form "Data from ..." or "Adapted from ...".
Fair short quotes are considered fair use and therefore do not require permission.
Graphics, Charts, Schemes, and Artwork completely redrawn by the author and significantly altered beyond recognition do not require permission.

Get Permission

In order to avoid unnecessary delays in the publishing process, you should start getting permission as early as possible. When in doubt about copyright, apply for permission. Pharmacy Magazine cannot publish material from other publications without permission.

The copyright holder can give you instructions on the form of acknowledgment to follow; otherwise follow the style: "Reproduced with permission of [author], [title of book / journal]; published by [publisher], [year]. 'at the end of the title of Table, Figure or Scheme.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Submissions have not been previously published, or in consideration of other journals.
  2. Manuscript files in Office Documents such as Microsoft Word, or RTF document file formats.
