Determinan Dalam Penggunaan Obat Tradisional Pada Pasien Diabetes di Kabupaten Bandung

Abstrak


Studi perilaku penggunaan sistem pengobatan plural pada pasien diabetes di Indonesia masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi kesenjangan penelitian dengan menganalisis pola penggunaan sistem pengobatan pada pasien diabetes dan mengidentifikasi determinan yang mempengaruhi dalam menggunakan sistem pengobatan tradisional atau modern untuk diabetes mellitus. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan studi kuantitatif households survey untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan pasien terhadap faktor resiko diabetes dan hubungannya dengan pola penggunaan sistem pengobatan. Household survey dilakukan pada Februari 2018 di dua kecamatan di Kabupaten Bandung, yaitu Kecamatan Pangalengan, sebagai kecamatan dengan karakteristik rural dan Kecamatan Baleendah, sebagai kecamatan dengan karateristik urban. Dari total 279 responden pasien diabetes, 2.2% memiliki pengetahuan sedikit, 62.0% memiliki pengetahuan sedang, dan 35.8% memiliki pengetahuan yang banyak mengenai faktor resiko penyakit diabetes. Analisis pola penggunaan sistem pengobatan di masyakat menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pasien diabetes di Pangalengan menggunakan obat tradisional (71.4%, N=105), sedangkan mayoritas pasien di Baleendah menggunakan obat modern (51.1%, N=174) untuk pengobatan diabetes. Hasil uji bivariat menggunakan Pearson Chi-square menunjukkan bahwa variabel umur, tingkat pendidikan, status sosio-ekonomi, pengetahuan mengenai obat tradisional, pengetahuan mengenai faktor resiko diabetes, lingkungan rural/urban, status kependudukan, dan aksesibilitas terhadap fasilitas kesehatan modern memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (p-value < .05) terhadap pola penggunaan sistem pengobatan pada pasien diabetes di Kecamatan Pangalengan dan Baleendah.
