Author Guidelines

Manuscript Submission

Jurnal Matematika Integratif (JMI) is a peer-reviewed national journal that serves as a communication forum for mathematicians, scientists, and practitioners who apply mathematics in their research. JMI welcomes manuscripts covering a broad range of mathematical topics, as well as multidisciplinary studies that utilize mathematical approaches to solve real-world problems. Manuscripts should be submitted online through our OJS system. All published articles are freely available under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Reviewing of Manuscripts

Each received paper will be sent to at least two reviewers for evaluation using a double-blind peer review process. The final decision is made based on the evaluation reports from the reviewers. Whenever necessary, a third reviewer may be appointed to evaluate the paper.

Indexing and Abstracting

Papers published in JMI are indexed and abstracted in SINTA 3 (Decree No. 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025), Crossref, Google Scholar, GARUDA, DOAJ, and Dimensions.

Form of Manuscript

The paper should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia with a minimum of 10 pages. Manuscripts must be prepared using the provided templates in MS Word or LaTeX (available on the website/sidebar). Ensure that the manuscript includes an abstract, keywords, and current Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC). Avoid complicated formulas in the title as well as in the abstract.

IMPORTANT: Since the manuscript undergoes a double-blind review process, all author(s) personal information should be removed and excluded from the main document as well as file names during initial submission. Personal information will be added after the manuscript is accepted for publication.

Abstract

The abstract must be presented in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (maximum 200 words). It should summarize the main result(s) and the method(s) used. For authors from outside Indonesia, the Indonesian abstract will be translated from the English abstract by the Editor.

Abstrak harus disajikan dalam bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia (maksimal 200 kata). Abstrak harus merangkum hasil utama dan metode yang digunakan. Bagi penulis dari luar Indonesia, abstrak bahasa Indonesia akan diterjemahkan dari abstrak bahasa Inggris oleh Editor.

Figures and Tables

Figures and tables must be embedded directly within the text at the appropriate positions. Figures should be clear, high-resolution, and suitable for direct reproduction.

References

References should be listed in alphabetical order according to the surnames of the authors at the end of the paper. Title of the journals should be abbreviated in accordance with the "Abbreviations of Names of Serials" in Mathematical Reviews Annual Index (American Mathematical Society).

Authors are strongly required to use Reference Management Tools (such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote) for formatting citations and references. Active DOIs or URLs must be provided for all references where available.

GenAI Policy

This journal allows the responsible use of Generative AI (GenAI) tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and similar systems) strictly for language editing, grammar improvement, or text clarification. GenAI may not generate scientific content, data, results, tables, figures, or references, nor replace the authors' intellectual contribution. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts.

Any use of GenAI must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript (e.g., in the Acknowledgment or Methods section). GenAI tools cannot be listed as authors. Reviewers and editors must not upload confidential manuscript content into GenAI systems. Misuse such as fabricated data, hallucinated citations, or undisclosed AI-generated content may result in desk rejection, withdrawal, or retraction. This policy aligns with COPE and international publication ethics.

Publication Fee

Jurnal Matematika Integratif (JMI) is a fully open-access journal. To cover operational expenses including online publishing, typesetting/TeX conversion, peer-review management, and DOI assignment, authors are requested to pay an Article Publication Charge (APC) upon acceptance:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

     

  2. The submission file is in LaTeX, OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.

     

  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

     

  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

     

  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

     

  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
