Peer Review Process

The Journal of Nursing and Health in Tourism(JNHT) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of all submitted manuscripts. This means that both the authors and the reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. The review policy is designed to ensure the relevance, scientific soundness, and originality of each article.

Review Process:

  1. Initial Editorial Review:

    • Once a manuscript is submitted, it is first reviewed by the editorial team to assess its alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as its compliance with submission guidelines.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet these initial criteria will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
  2. Double-Blind Peer Review:

    • Manuscripts that pass the initial review are then assigned to two or more expert reviewers in the relevant field.
    • Both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed to maintain impartiality and fairness.
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, relevance to the field of health and nursing tourism, and contribution to the academic community.
  3. Reviewer Recommendations:

    • After reviewing the manuscript, reviewers will recommend one of the following outcomes:
      • Accept: The manuscript is accepted with minor or no revisions.
      • Revisions Required: The manuscript is conditionally accepted, but revisions are needed before it can be published.
      • Resubmit for Review: Major revisions are required, and the revised manuscript must undergo another round of review.
      • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in the journal.
  4. Revision and Resubmission:

    • Authors are provided with detailed feedback from the reviewers and are required to revise their manuscripts accordingly.
    • Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the specified deadline. Depending on the extent of the revisions, the manuscript may undergo another round of peer review.
  5. Final Decision:

    • The editorial team makes the final decision on whether the manuscript will be accepted for publication, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of revisions made by the authors.
  6. Publication Timeline:

    • The review process typically takes 1-2 months, and the overall publication process, from submission to acceptance, is completed within 2-3 months.

JNHT is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic publishing and ensures that each article published is the result of a fair and thorough review process.
