HUBUNGAN ANTARA KECERDASAN EMOSI DAN ADAPTABILITAS KARIR PADA SARJANA DI BANDA ACEH

Abstrak


Kondisi ekonomi yang tidak stabil dan persaingan lapangan pekerjaan yang semakin ketat menyebabkan tingkat pengangguran lulusan Universitas di Aceh terus meningkat beberapa tahun terakhir. Dalam masa transisi ke dunia pekerjaan adaptabilitas karir berperan penting membantu sarjana mengantisipasi dan menghadapi kesulitan dan tantangan yang mungkin muncul. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi adaptabilitas karir adalah kecerdasan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dan adaptabilitas karir pada sarjana di Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan sampel sebanyak 286 sarjana lulusan tahun 2016 yang seleksi melalui teknik incidental sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan adaptasi Assessing Emotion Scale (AES) oleh Schutte, Malouff, dan  Bhullar dan adaptasi Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) oleh Savickas dan Porfeli. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,716 dengan nilai signifikansi (p) = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Maka dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dan adaptabilitas karir pada sarjana di Banda Aceh. Hal ini mengindikasikan semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosi maka semakin tinggi adaptabilitas karir, dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecerdasan emosi berkaitan secara signifikan dengan adaptabilitas karir sarjana.
