PENGEMBANGAN MILLON PERSONALITY TYPE INVENTORY (MPTI) SEBAGAI INSTRUMEN PENGUKURAN KEPRIBADIAN DI INDONESIA

Abstrak


Peningkatan angka gangguan kejiwaan di Indonesia menimbulkan kebutuhan akan penanganan yang lebih optimal. Adanya instrumen kepribadian dengan kerangka teoritik yang kuat diharapkan dapat membantu proses penanganan agar lebih efektif. Instrumen kepribadian yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada model teoritik dari Theodore Millon yaitu evolutionary model. Terdapat 14 tipe kepribadian yaitu Schizoid, Avoidant, Dependent, Histrionik, Kompulsif, Negativistik, Narsistik, Antisosial, Masokistik, Sadis, Schizotypal, Paranoid, Borderline, dan Melankolik. Tahap pengembangan item dilakukan melalui sebelas uji coba yang melibatkan 1372 partisipan. Form terakhir berisi 254 item yang terdiri dari 249 item kepribadian dan 5 item kontrol. Pilihan respon jawaban adalah YA dan TIDAK. Hasilnya masing-masing kepribadian memiliki reliabilitas alpha yang handal (> 0.7). Reliabilitas tes-retes menunjukan korelasi yang tinggi dengan tes pertama yaitu berkisar antara .744 - .891. Pembuktian validitas dengan validitas isi dari dua orang ahli memperlihatkan kesesuaian dengan definisi masing-masing domain diatas 80%. Validitas struktur internal menunjukan bahwa model yang digunakan dalam pengukuran sesuai dengan model teoritik.
