RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OWNERSHIP SCALE AND DAIRY CATTLE BUSINESS SUSTAINABLITY (Case in the MCP Cipanas KPBS Pangalengan, Bandung Regency)

Abstract


Livestock farming is one of the agricultural subsectors that produces animal protein as a necessity for people's lives. Dairy farm in Indonesia is mostly by smallholder dairy farming. Main point of this research to analyze the relationship between the scale of livestock ownership and the sustainability of dairy farming businesses in TPK Cipanas, KPBS Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. The method used is a survey method using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Analysis of research data uses descriptive analysis, multidimensional scaling and correlation coefficient. The results of the research show that: 1) The scale of livestock ownership in the Cipanas TPK is mostly in the small category of 1-5 ST; 2) The average sustainability index for dairy farming businesses in TPK Cipanas is in the less sustainable category; 3) There is a significant but not strong relationship between the scale of livestock ownership and business sustainability.
