Diplomasi Digital Jepang terhadap Indonesia Melalui Akun Instagram @Jpnambsindonesia
Abstrak
Pemerintah Jepang, melalui penggunaan berbagai media sosial melaksanakan diplomasi digitalnya. Pada bulan April 2018 lalu, Kedutaan Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia di bawah pimpinan Duta Besar Masafumi Ishii mulai menggunakan media sosial Instagram dengan username @jpnambsindonesia dalam rangka pelaksanaan diplomasi digital Jepang. Riset ini memaparkan mengenai aktivitas Selfie Diplomacy tersebut, yakni bagaimana citra Jepang yang hendak diproyeksikan oleh Duta Besar Masafumi Ishii melalui unggahan-unggahannya di akun Instagram @jpnambsindonesia. Riset ini menggunakan pendekatan diplomasi digital serta meminjam konsep citra negara empat dimesi dari Alexander Buhmann dan Diana Ingenhoff. Metode riset yang digunakan ialah metode riset kualitatif melalui penelaahan materi audio-visual, pemeriksaan dokumen, dan wawancara. Temuan dari riset ini ialah terdapatnya tiga aspek dari diplomasi digital dalam aktivitas akun @jpnambsindonesia, yakni engagement, listening, dan pendekatan collaborative. Di sisi lain, citra negara yang diproyeksikan pun beragam dengan memenuhi keempat dimensi; dimensi fungsional, dimensi normatif, dimensi estetika, dan dimensi simpatetik.
