SOSIALISASI TEKNIK BUDIDAYA KELAPA SAWIT BERBASIS PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT BERKELANJUTAN

Abstrak

Oil palm plantation managed by the village community Wargaluyu , Tanjung Medar , Sumedang district , West Java is a potential areas which need to be highlighted to be developed. Oil palm plantation company that has a promising is a commodity , given that this sector will produces increased the income of farmers if well managed in accordance with the technique of cultivation that right. This is supported by the presence of some community members village Wargaluyu who use their own land with oil palm. The purpose of the program were to improve knowledge farmer’s in agronomic practices to venture oil palm plantations, the increase in income producers and commercial operation by a business activities in defiance of oil palm so can increase living standard of farmers as a whole and sustainable, the formation of a oil palm plantation sustained by the application of the agronomic practises that environmentally sound. In general method activities conducted include: counseling, assistance, demonstration plots and training. Components measured is increased knowledge farmers palm oil on agronomic practice of oil palm sustainably, parameter the growth of oil palm in demonstration plots appointed.The results is increased knowledge farmers oil palm on extension that held. The growth of oil palm up to 8 WAT (week after treatment) in demonstration plot has not shown a real difference between plant fertilized with organic fertilizers (compost and urine goats) with who fostered with fertilizers inorganic (fertilizer compound). Application organic fertilizers need to continuously tries to reduce its use of fertilizer inorganic as a first step to achieve oil palm plantation sustainable.
