Author Guidelines

Directions for (Prospective) Author JOURNAL SOSIOHUMANIORA

Sosiohumaniora Starting from January 2019, all articles submitted to the Journal Sosiohumaniora must be in English if your article is still in Indonesian. Articles written in English in essay format. Article titles printed in all capital letters are placed in the middle of the article in Times New Roman, 12 points. Articles written are not less than 5000 words and no more than 7000 words. The name of the author of the article is registered without an academic degree, along with the name and address of the institution of origin, and is placed under the title of the article. In the case of a script written by a team, the editor is linked to the main author. The author must enter an email. Articles written for the Sosiohumaniora in the form of research results (empirical / original articles) in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Research Articles

The research article is the original article of research results in the field of social sciences and humanities The format of the research article consists of TITLE pages (English and Indonesian) articles, ABSTRACT (English and Indonesian), INTRODUCTION, METHOD, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION , ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (if any), CONCLUSIONS, and REFERENCES

General instructions

To avoid duplication, Sosiohumaniora does not accept articles that have been published or are being sent to other journals, which must be proven by signing a statement that the manuscript was not sent or processed in another journal. The author must ensure that all other authors have agreed to publish in the Sosiohumaniora. If an article which has been published in the Sosiohumaniora is found to be published by another journal, Sosiohumaniora will announce its revocation in the next issue of the journal. All articles will be discussed by experts from the appropriate field (peer review) and also by the editorial board. Articles that need to be repaired are returned to the author. Research articles must obtain approval from the ethics committee or consider ethical aspects of the research that can be accounted for.

Article Writing

The article to be sent must be an article typed in Times New Roman with a size of 11 points on A4 paper with 1 space with a margin of 4 cm on the left and top and 3 cm on the right and bottom. Your article must not be less than 5000 words and may not be more than 7000 words. All pages must be numbered consecutively from the title page to the last page (see journal template). Articles will be published in US English. Maximum 6 tables and figures.


TITLE PAGE 

The title page contains the title of the article, the full author's name (without title). Author Institution Address written in full, and e-mail address (first author). The title of the article must be concise and clear. The English title cannot be more than 15 words and the Indonesian title cannot be more than 15 words.


ABSTRACT. 
Abstracts must be written in one-spaced paragraphs, containing a maximum of 250 words, and written in Times New Roman 10 pt. Abstracts must be written in Indonesian and English. The abstract must include research objectives, methods (participant characteristics, population, samples, sampling methods, data collection, and data analysis), findings, and conclusions. If necessary, recommendations can be given at the end of the paragraph. After the abstract, provide five keywords separated by semicolons (;). Choose keywords carefully that allow search engines to find your article.

Keywords: are separated by semi colon (;).

 

INTRODUCTION

In the introduction, the writer must write the research objectives at the end of the introduction. Before writing the research objectives, the writer must write (in sequence) the background, previous literature studies (state of the art) as a basis for the statement of scientific renewal of the article, statement of scientific renewal, research problem, "gap analysis" and hypothesis (if quantitative research) . In the introduction, a separate literature review is not allowed in separate subtitles as in the research report, but it is written integrated with an explanation of the background of the research so that the literature review can show the state of the art - or the novelty of scientific findings.

METHOD

The method section contains an explanation of the type of research / research design. This section explains the number of subjects and the characteristics of the subjects accompanied by demographic data (Azwar, 2007). In quantitative research, if the research uses certain measuring instruments, it is necessary to convey the name of the measuring instrument, the number of items, the reliability coefficient, and the data analysis method used. In qualitative research, explained the qualitative perspective used, to the data collection and analysis methods (Willig, 2008).

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

The results and discussion section contains the results of research findings and their scientific discussion. Write scientific findings (scientific finding) obtained from the results of research that has been done but must be supported by adequate data. The scientific findings referred to here are not the research data obtained. Scientific findings must be explained scientifically include: Are scientific findings obtained? Why did that happen? Why is the trend variable like that? All of these questions must be explained scientifically, not only descriptive, and supported by adequate empirical data. In addition, it should be explained also the comparison with the results of other researchers who are almost the same topic. Research results and findings must be able to answer hypotheses and / or research questions in the introduction.

CONCLUSION

The conclusions section consists of only one paragraph but describes the answers to the hypothesis and / or research objectives or scientific findings obtained. Conclusions do not contain an iteration of results and discussion, but rather a summary of the findings as expected in the research objectives. If necessary, at the end of the conclusion can also be written things that will be done related to further ideas from the research.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (if any)

The thank you section (if any) is mainly directed at research funders or donors and those who assist with the implementation of research whose contribution is not significant enough to be included in the authorship group.

REFERENCES

The bibliography section must contain all references cited / cited in the article text must be included in the Bibliography section. Bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals; minimum 80%) of the total bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. The number of references cited at least 15 (fifteen) library sources. Writing a citation or citation is recommended to use a reference management application program for example: Mendeley, Turnitin, Grammarly, EndNote, Zotero, or others. The writing format used in the Unpad Sosiohumaniora Journal is APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association, 2010).

Instructions for Submitting Manuscripts Online

The manuscript must be sent via the Online Submission System at the Sosiohumaniora E-Journal portal http://sosiohumaniora.unpad.ac.id Steps for sending the manuscript:

  1. First the Author registers as an Author and / or Reviewer (checking roles as Author and / or Reviewer) in the "Register" section or address: http://jurnal.unpad.ac.id/sosiohumaniora/user/register
  2. After the author is logged in as Author, click on "New Submission". The stages of article submission consist of 5 stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation
  3. In the Start section, select the Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.
  4. In the Upload Submission section, please upload the article manuscript file in MS Word in this section.
  5. In the Enter Metadata section, enter the data of all Authors and affiliates, followed by the title and abstract, and indexing keywords.
  6. In the Upload Supplementary Files section, it is permissible to upload supporting data files or cover letters, author statements or other documents.
  7. In the Confirmation section, please click "Finish Submission" if all data is correct.
  8. Writer's statement about the article does not constitute and does not contain plagiarism, is not being processed and is considered in any journal other than the Sosiohumaniora journal, is willing to approve the final form submitted and is willing to bear the risk of the accuracy of the data and will not hold the editor responsible for data errors. which is given

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscript is the result of research that is original and has never been published before, and is not being submitted in other journals.

  2. Manuscripts submitted in Microsoft Word, Open Office (.doc, .docx, .rtf) document formats.

  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. Manuscripts typed in 1 space with Times New Roman font 11-point article must contain no less than 5000 words and no more than 7000 words and be adjusted to the style of environment and writing instructions that have been provided (Author Guideline and Journal Templates).

  5. Please check references according to original source (author's name, volume, edition, year). For convenience, please use a reference manager application such as Mendeley, Turnitin, Grammarly, EndNote, Zotero, etc. All publications cited in the text must be included as a bibliography and vice versa all sources in the bibliography must be used in the text.

  6. When submitting to a peer-reviewed section, make sure that it follows blind review instructions.

  7. manuscripts must be adjusted to the Journal Templates that have been set (required)
