Research Trends of Xylitol from Agricultural Wastes in Indonesia Based on Bibliometric Analysis by Employing VOSviewer

Abstrak


The application of sustainable industry could be addressed by utilizing agricultural waste through descriptive bibliometric and exploratory analysis using VOSviewer 1.6.18, which employs the Scopus indexed journal database. This study aimed to determine the research trend on the valorization of agricultural waste to be used in xylitol production in Indonesia from the Scopus database. To obtain appropriate query results, subject categories with titles, keywords, and abstracts regarding the development of xylitol from agricultural waste in Indonesia are used as a reference. The extraction of the collected data was carried out using VOSviewer. The results of the bibliometric mapping were then further evaluated descriptively. The findings of the bibliometric study were illustrated through network visualization, overlay visualization, and density visualization that xylitol research in Indonesia has increased over the recent eleven years, starting in 2013 and continuing until 2023.
