The Journal of Geological Sciences and Applied Geology (GSAG) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by the Faculty of Geological Engineering, Universitas Padjadjaran. The journal is published three times a year in January, May, and September.

GSAG provides an international platform for the dissemination of original research articles, review papers, and short communications in the field of Earth sciences and applied geology. The journal covers a broad range of topics, including geology, applied and engineering geology, geophysics, geochemistry, stratigraphy, paleontology, economic and mining geology, hydrogeology and water resources, marine geoscience, geological hazards and disaster studies, as well as environmental and related geoscience studies.

All manuscripts submitted to GSAG undergo a double-blind peer-review process, starting with an initial editorial screening based on the Author Guidelines, followed by evaluation by professional reviewers. GSAG accepts submissions in English from researchers and practitioners worldwide.

GSAG operates under a full open-access policy, providing free and immediate access to all published articles. No article processing charges (APCs) are applied at any stage of the publication process, including submission, peer review, and online publication.

An optional fee may be charged only for authors who request printed copies of the published journal. This fee covers printing and distribution costs and is not a condition for publication.
