Conflict of Interest
The Jurnal Manajemen Pelayanan Publik is committed to ensuring transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, the research, peer review, editorial decisions, or publication of a manuscript.
A conflict of interest may arise from financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that could compromise an individual's impartiality. Such conflicts may include, but are not limited to, employment, consultancies, research funding, grants, financial interests, personal relationships, professional competition, institutional affiliations, or involvement in organizations that may benefit from the publication of the research.
Authors' Responsibilities
Authors must disclose all relevant financial and non-financial interests that may influence their research or the interpretation of their findings. Any sources of funding, sponsorship, or institutional support must be clearly acknowledged in the manuscript. If no conflict of interest exists, authors should include a statement declaring that there are no conflicts of interest to disclose.
Reviewers' Responsibilities
Reviewers must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could affect their ability to provide an objective and impartial assessment of a manuscript. Reviewers should decline an invitation to review if they have a personal, professional, financial, or institutional relationship with the authors or the research that could compromise their impartiality.
Editors' Responsibilities
Editors must disclose any conflicts of interest related to a submitted manuscript and must not participate in editorial decisions when their impartiality may be compromised. In such cases, the manuscript will be assigned to another qualified editor who can manage the peer review process independently and objectively.
Handling Conflicts of Interest
The editorial team will assess disclosed conflicts of interest and determine appropriate measures to safeguard the integrity and fairness of the publication process. These measures may include reassignment of reviewers or editors, requests for additional disclosures, or other actions considered necessary to maintain transparency and editorial independence.
Failure to disclose a relevant conflict of interest may result in appropriate editorial action, including rejection of a manuscript, publication of a correction, retraction of a published article, or other measures consistent with the journal's publication ethics policies.
The Jurnal Manajemen Pelayanan Publik is committed to managing conflicts of interest responsibly to ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated on their academic merit, methodological rigor, and contribution to the field of public service management.
