Implementation Planning of MRP II for Production Control at Equine Black Garlic by SML

Abstrak


Black Garlic producers face challenges in production planning and control, including inaccurate demand forecasting, inefficient production strategies, and non-integrated manual control systems. This study aims to analyze the comprehensive planning of Manufacturing Resource Planning II (MRP II) implementation in Equine Black Garlic by SML using a hierarchical approach. The MRP II stages include forecasting, aggregate planning, resource requirement planning, master production scheduling, rough-cut capacity planning, material requirement planning, capacity requirement planning, and production activity control. The results show that MRP II implementation increases productivity by 66.8%, optimizes capacity utilization to 29–35% according to demand fluctuations, achieves up to 49.65% efficiency in material procurement, and yields annual cost savings of Rp 2,165,000. The production control system was also significantly transformed from manual to an integrated, real-time system, proving the effectiveness of the hierarchical MRP II approach in enhancing efficiency production control in Black Garlic production.
