Jurnal Ilmu dan Inovasi Fisika (JIIF) is an open access journal that charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts accepted for publication. JIIF provides APC waivers and discounts for eligible authors in accordance with the policy described below.
1. Standard Article Processing Charge
The standard Article Processing Charge is:
IDR 750,000 per accepted manuscript
The APC is charged only after a manuscript has been accepted for publication.
JIIF does not charge a submission fee. Authors are not required to pay any fee when submitting a manuscript for consideration.
2. APC Waiver and Discount for Authors
JIIF provides APC waivers and discounts to support international participation and collaboration in scholarly publication.
A. Manuscripts by Overseas Author(s)
The APC is FREE for manuscripts submitted by overseas author(s).
For the purpose of this policy, an overseas author is an author affiliated with an institution located outside Indonesia.
Manuscripts in which all authors are affiliated with institutions outside Indonesia are eligible for a 100% APC waiver.
Standard APC: IDR 750,000
APC waiver: 100%
APC payable: FREE
B. Manuscripts by Indonesian and Overseas Author(s)
Manuscripts authored by Indonesian author(s) in collaboration with overseas author(s) are eligible for a 50% discount on the standard APC.
For the purpose of this policy, the manuscript must include at least one author affiliated with an institution in Indonesia and at least one author affiliated with an institution outside Indonesia.
The applicable APC is:
Standard APC: IDR 750,000
Discount: 50% (IDR 375,000)
APC payable: IDR 375,000
The eligibility of a manuscript will be determined based on the institutional affiliations provided in the submitted manuscript.
3. Verification of Eligibility
APC waivers are subject to verification by the JIIF Editorial Office.
Authors may be required to provide or confirm their institutional affiliation and other relevant information to establish eligibility.
For international collaboration discounts, eligibility will be determined based on the institutional affiliations listed in the manuscript.
Authors should inform the JIIF Editorial Office of their eligibility for an APC waiver or discount as early as possible and preferably before the APC invoice is issued.
4. APC Payment
For manuscripts subject to an APC, authors are required to pay the applicable APC after receiving an official acceptance decision from the JIIF Editorial Office.
Payment instructions will be provided by the Editorial Office after acceptance.
Authors should not make any payment before receiving official payment instructions from JIIF.
5. Editorial Independence
APC payment, eligibility for an APC waiver does not influence the editorial decision or peer-review process. All manuscripts are evaluated independently based on their academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and compliance with the journal's editorial and publication standards. Editorial decisions are made independently of an author's ability to pay publication charges.
