Jurnal Ilmu dan Inovasi Fisika (JIIF) applies a single-anonymous peer review process to manuscripts submitted for publication.
Under the single-anonymous peer review model, the identity of the reviewers is kept confidential from the authors. Reviewers, however, are provided with the identity of the authors and the manuscript submitted for review. Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors during or after the peer-review process unless otherwise determined by the journal.
Initial Editorial Screening
All manuscripts submitted to JIIF are first screened by the editorial team to determine whether they are within the journal's focus and scope and comply with the journal's submission requirements and author guidelines. The editors may also conduct an initial assessment of the manuscript's originality, quality, and suitability for peer review.
Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's scope, basic quality requirements, or submission guidelines may be returned to the authors or rejected without external peer review.
Assignment of Reviewers
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are assigned to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript.
Reviewers are selected based on their academic and research expertise, taking into consideration the relevance of their expertise to the manuscript and potential conflicts of interest.
Review Process
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript objectively and independently. The review may consider, among other aspects:
- originality and novelty of the research;
- relevance and clarity of the research objectives;
- adequacy and appropriateness of the methodology;
- validity and clarity of the results and discussion;
- relevance and quality of the references;
- clarity of presentation; and
- the overall scientific contribution of the manuscript.
Reviewers provide comments and recommendations to assist the editors in making an editorial decision and, where appropriate, to help authors improve their manuscripts.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts submitted to JIIF are treated as confidential documents throughout the peer-review process. Reviewers must not disclose, share, or use unpublished information contained in the manuscript for personal or professional purposes.
Reviewer identities are kept confidential from authors in accordance with the single-anonymous peer review policy.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers are expected to disclose any potential conflict of interest that could affect the objectivity of their review. Reviewers should decline an invitation to review a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest with the authors, their institutions, or the research.
Editorial Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the editor based on the reviewers' comments, the scientific quality of the manuscript, its relevance to the journal's scope, and the overall editorial assessment.
Possible editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
The peer-review process is intended to ensure the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of articles published by JIIF.
